A great start to November

Meet the neighbors. Every morning and evening these turkeys feast in the field across from my house. This is what I get to look at as I eat my breakfast. Today they came over to my side of the street and I was able to get close enough to get some nice pictures with my phone. The blue, green and brown hues in the feathers were beautiful! It’s not a bad way to start my day.

Thankfully, the time change didn’t crush me with exhaustion like years past. I am managing it well. I made sure to get to bed early and wake up early all week. Going to bed late and then sleeping in that extra hour on Sunday is what screwed me up all the time. I got this timing tip from Lea at Running With Ollie last year and it totally works! I have been up all week with plenty of time for my yoga practice. She’s a cool chick so check her out! She has some cool stuff going on in the Dallas area too if you’re a local runner!

Plans are coming along for our road trip in three weeks! Hotels are mostly all booked. We need to figure out our one stop over for the way home. But other than that, all we need to do it pack! I even remembered to make Thanksgiving dinner reservations. 🙂

As part of this month’s yoga challenges, I decided to get back to my year end goal of doing a handstand. I started on the 1st and have been working on this one daily. I am so sore! But it’s a good sore and totally worth it! It seems I picked some great challenges this month as they all are setting the bar higher for me.  Like this pose here called Abstract Thinker:

Not bad for my first try!  I am eager to see what awaits me in the next couple weeks. After dealing with a muscle pull all last month, I feel like I got my mojo back!

Is anyone else loving the warmer temperatures like I am? Low 70’s is perfect for me! It is making me miss fall running a lot though. It’s back to 50-60* tomorrow which is ok too…

What does everyone have planned for the weekend? I am thinking about a hike or a movie… I want to see The Martian and the new Bond film too. Have you seen any good movies lately?

Great photos! I always live your yoga poses. I need to try to do a handstand 😄 Your trip sounds fun! Hope to see you at the coffee date tomorrow

    • It’s coffee date time already?! I wish I remembered or this could have been my link up! I am going to mark my calendar to participate next month. I haven’t done one in so long. I’ll meet you for coffee though 🙂

  2. Your autumn pictures are glorious, full of golden prettiness. Our autumn seems to be officially over, the rainy season is here and it’s grey, grey, grey 😦
Your handstand progress is amazing, you got this!
