Fuel Your Better with Vega Sport

Hi Everyone!  I am so excited to be talking to you today about the Vega Sport #FuelYourBetter campaign for 2014.  I was given this opportunity as a SweatPink Ambassador to sample a part of this line for free and review it on this blog. All opinions are my own. Also note I was not compensated for this review. 

We are talking about how you fuel yourself through training.  Whether is’s a hard run uphill, a sweaty intense workout or a vertical hike- Vega Sport wants to fuel it.

Let me tell you how excited I was to be given this opportunity to try this product!  This was my first time using a protein powder. I can not have dairy products so having this chance to try a plant based protein made me feel like part of the cool kids.  Their products are dairy, gluten & soy free, no sugar added.  Perfect for me since I do not like added sugar either.  I had picked part of their recovery line to try because I always run after work so I figured it would help hold me over before I am done cooking dinner or just have a shake in place of my dinner.  Here are a few ways I like to drink it:

With almond milk, blueberries, strawberries and frozen pineapple~ YUM!

I was pleased with the taste. There was a little after taste at first but nothing chemical tasting.  After the first sip or two, I did not notice it.  I would recommend mixing with a blender because it does make the drink thick. I did have a little clumpage on the side of my blender.  However, it blended into the drink well. Stirring by hand was a chore and left the hemp milk clumpy…

Best of all – My belly liked it too!  I did not have any digestion issues and was not bloated after drinking it which would happen with any whey proteins.

Overall, I am very happy with this product. I would like to try the chocolate flavor too. I would make my own Chunky Monkey flavor shake.  The possibilities are endless!

    • LOL I really do like it. I liked it best with the fruit and almond milk. Pulverizing it all in the blender for 5 minutes may have helped too with the lumps 🙂

    I LOVE vega products! I’ve tried their pre workout and nutritional shake, but never their protein powder! Great review Mary, glad it worked for you 🙂
