Today’s #Blogember post is about a book that honestly changed my life. This was not to hard to choose. I have read and re-read Mitch Albom’s books. “For One More Day” and “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” are two of my favorite books of all time. I read Five People when I was approx. 28 years old. I have always had a fascination with the afterlife and questioned what heaven was like more then once in my life. This book came out 2 years after my dad died and I was questioning a lot back then. This book brought some things to light for me and I learned a few lessons along the way.
- People come into your life for a reason. Some stay longer then others but there are no random events in life. All individuals and experiences are connected in some way.
- Never underestimate the importance of people’s willingness to make sacrifices for other people, big or small.
Think about this. Let it soak in and marinate in your soul. Think about relationships past and present. Did you learn anything from them? Were there connections made through that person or time in your life that have changed you in any way? Maybe it’s you that is the importance in someone else’s life. This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for everyone that I have known in my 38 years that have enriched my life in one way or another.
