Hey everybody! WHEW! Things have been so crazy since my last post. I have a few blog posts up in my headspace right now that I am having trouble sorting them out. I need to sit down and plot out my #7ThingsProject. With life about to change BIG TIME in another week, I guess I feel lost on this one because I honestly do not know what I want to do. I have not given up on this project. I love the idea so, I want to put time and thought into it. Because I can start it any time I want, I do not feel as much pressure to make “just another bucket list”.
So, this is what I have been up to lately:
I have been trying to spend as much time with Allyson as possible while helping her get ready for the big move to Dartmouth over Labor Day Weekend. Some days are more emotional for me then others but I am getting through it. One more week -put on the breaks!! Deep breaths, breathe in, breathe out…
We are going camping next weekend! In a tent and everything! After all summer of procrastinating and changing our minds a thousand times on what we want to do after taking Al to school, the only things agreed on was that we wanted to hike and did not want to drive straight home ( 7 hours ). Finally we booked a camp site for two nights in MA approx. 2 hours from campus. We need to buy/borrow camping supplies since we are just starting off but it should be fun!
I stated back into lifting weights this week. I had not touched my weights in a month and it felt like starting over from scratch. ( GASP! I know!) Besides a few runs, lots of 4mile+ walks and hiking, that has been the extent of my workouts this summer. I have been losing weight (24lbs so far!), watching my calories and still loving life this summer. However, I have my nephew’s wedding in just under 2 months and I
need to want to sculpt my arms and back while keeping my legs strong. My abs are nothing to brag about so I am hoping that they will fall into place eventually- LOL!
I read Outlander by Diane Gabaldon as part of my summer bucket list. At first it was a little hard to get into. Her style of writing is odd and all over the place. However, once I got the hang of the story line and characters ( 3-4 chapters in ) I could not put it down! Now I am into book 2 Dragonfly In Amber. Hollywood is making this into a TV Series. Once they do, I will be ordering the channel on cable.
Friday girls night at the movies tomorrow! Going to see City of Bones with my sister Jo, Allyson and maybe one other person. I am so excited for this. I read The Mortal Instruments trilogy a few years ago and thought they were great!
Well, that’s all folks! The weekend is almost here… Go do something crazy!
