My Summer Bucket List

Back in late spring, I was talking to Dan about how we should have a summer bucket list. Allyson leaves for college in a few short months and I think about how she will look back on this summer in particular. We never really did anything with that idea. Allyson will be working every weekend so spontaneous road trips that we are famous for are out of the question. What could we do as a family when we are all working different hours? Al did just sky dive for the first time which tops anything I could plan at this point anyway! So, I put the idea on the back burner. Until this week that is. I was excited to read this weeks newsletter from Tone It Up as we are challenged to come up with such a list. I have been enjoying this program to get fit for summer. But it is more then just eating right and working out. Sure, watching the inches on my measuring tape go down is a HUGE bonus. It is also mental “challenge” as well.  You are pushed to be the best version of you in all aspects of your life. Therefore, instead of making a list of goal that reflect my fitness ability, I decided to change it up a little. I want to share my list with all of you!

Do you make seasonal bucket lists? What is one thing you hope to accomplish this summer?

  1. Sounds like a great list!

Maybe you could have a few summer bbqs with close friends & family of Al, knock out 2 goals with one stone 🙂

I wrote a longer comment before, but it got eaten up by the internet monster saying I wasn't signed into wordpress when it shows I am…UGH!

  2. I have the same problem when responding on my phone- I type this awesome reply then realize it's a blogger account and the comment is not sent. It's so frustrating!

I really hope to have a few small get togethers this summer. Or at least just the three of us and my in-laws. We have our annual 4th of July picnic which is always a big turn out. We are combining that with the grad party. We are really looking forward to it. Last year is when I built the fire pit and used it to grill along side the regular propane grill. It worked out great! We cranked out so much food!
