We have been getting rain since Thursday… It’s so cold! Too cold too fast! I have been having pain again – in my right side- almost the whole side of my torso at this point. It started a few days ago and every day it’s there. It’s worse after I eat anything… I’ll try cranberry juce and a lot of water. If it’s still there by Monday, I’ll call the doctor. It’s been about an 8 out of 10 on the pain scale all day today… I’m going to another band festival tonight – gotta suck it up and deal with it for now…
I made macaroni and cheese in the crock-pot today for a pot luck dinner we held for the marching band. Several people raved and even asked for the recipe! A lady at work told me her secret ingredient for her recipe- hot sauce. Sounds weird but it gives it just a slight kick. This was the first time making this recipe so I was glad to hear how good it was…. I thought I would share with you:
Serves 6 to 8
1 16oz box of macaroni- cooked
3 tbs butter – melted
2 12oz cans evaporated milk
6 cups cheddar cheese -shredded
( 8 oz sharp & 8 oz extra sharp)
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3 dashes hot sauce (Frank’s)
In a large mixing bowl, toss macaroni with butter. Stir in milk, cheese, salt, pepper and hot sauce.
Place in crock-pot. Cover; Cook on high for 2-3 hours.
3 hours made it brown around the sides. So if you do not like it dark, stay on the 2-2.5 hour range.
